What annual-review paraplanning includes.

A proportionate review scope can support ongoing-service delivery without treating a replacement, transfer or new planning exercise as routine.

Direct answer

The CPS annual-review fee covers an agreed ongoing-service report using a complete, current case pack and the firm’s template. It is designed for review work within the existing planning context. A replacement, transfer, new product, materially changed objective or broader retirement-income exercise is scoped separately.

Typical work inside the agreed review scope

  • Checking the supplied facts, objectives and changes since the previous review
  • Recording current valuation, contributions, withdrawals and agreed performance context
  • Reviewing the supplied risk and capacity-for-loss evidence
  • Checking relevant allowances, beneficiary details or income needs supplied for the case
  • Drafting the agreed ongoing-suitability or review report in the firm’s template
  • Making assumptions, gaps and adviser decisions visible for final review

What normally requires re-scoping

  • A new product, wrapper, provider or replacement recommendation
  • A DC transfer, consolidation or safeguarded-benefit issue
  • A materially different retirement-income or withdrawal strategy
  • New cash-flow modelling, broad product research or complex tax analysis
  • Materially changed objectives, vulnerability, risk position or client circumstances
  • Work outside the accepted deliverable or after a recommendation changes

Minimum case pack

Provide the current fact-find or review questionnaire, objectives and material changes, risk and capacity evidence, existing-plan data, relevant tax and income information, the adviser’s intended direction, the firm’s current template and any compliance requirements. State what is still outstanding and who owns it.

The firm’s responsibility remains unchanged

The engaging firm retains the client relationship, ongoing-service obligation, regulated assessment, recommendation, supervision, final suitability conclusion and sign-off. CPS supplies business-to-business technical support under the accepted instruction.

Commercial boundary: the £95 founding or £125 standard rate applies only when the work fits the published annual-review assumptions. CPS confirms the scope and price before a case enters production.
